I have mentioned in previous blogs about my life with Lupus, in short it sucks. Yesterday I made a vital decision with my long time doctor (almost 30 years now) that the care I have been receiving (not) with traveling so far from home, acquiring a sitter for the time I am gone and NOT getting treated...well it just can't happen anymore. My GP and I decided that he can do the same treatments here that the specialist would do 200 miles away and I can see him more often, he is more accessible, ready and willing to listen and let me cry my eyes out while telling me that I am right, I do feel bad and I do need help NOW.
So for the past few months I have been taking steroids (predisone to be exact) and that is FAR to long to take them as I need to with the dosage that actually works. I am now weening off it and onto plaquenil which is a common treatment for lupus. Now I have to let it build into my system and find the correct dosage of that...sigh....what a pain in the ....well EVERYWHERE! I can't take the sun AT all now, it stinks, I love the sun and its been GORGEOUS Michigan March weather perfect for working outside and unfortunately I have to wait until dark to really enjoy it and by then...well its cold and I can't see a darned thing, lol!
My newest endeavor to offset my unemployed, waiting on my disability, bored out of my mind thing is selling Partylite online... here's my link.... https://www.partylite.biz/sites/kristygiddis you can shop and purchase right online, orders over $100 get a dozen votives or tealights in the fragrance of your choice, orders over $40 get a half off item when attached to a show...so if you want half off let me know and I can see about having a surprise hostess party for those who are waiting, I do need to have at least $100 to turn it in so...there are great benefits to hosting an online show as well, you get free product, hostess specials, you don't have to clean anything or make a snack...for those of you who don't like to play the party games here's your chance!
So, I am feeling a bit better, just trying really hard to keep myself and my house uplifted in these most difficult times. Hubby is STILL laid off from work, its been 18 months now and dangerously close to the end of his unemployment benefits and here in Michigan the help wanted section is non-existent STILL!
